Unlock Your Child’s Potential with Online Learning This National School Choice Week
Today families have more educational choices than ever, and online learning is leading the way in offering versatile, innovative solutions tailored to diverse student needs. National School Choice Week (Jan. 26-Feb. 1) is a great time for families to consider how Arizona Virtual Academy (AZVA) can transform their children’s educational experience.
Why AZVA?
AZVA is a public online charter school powered by K12 that meets the needs of diverse student populations through its innovative use of technology, state-certified teachers trained in delivering virtual instruction and partnerships with families and communities. AZVA empowers students to think critically and achieve academic success and personal growth. AZVA is devoted to making quality public education accessible for all Arizona students—regardless of geographic, financial or demographic circumstances—and providing online education alternatives that are as unique as the students we serve.
From aspiring engineers to budding agriscience professionals, AZVA offers a broad range of career-focused courses: agriscience, culinary, arts, engineering, law and public safety, health and human services and information technology. Students can also prepare to take industry-recognized certification exams upon graduation.
Flexibility to Succeed
At AZVA, students work at their own pace, adjusting the amount of time they spend on topics based on their rate of understanding.
“We are given this extraordinary opportunity to reap infinite knowledge through our education system, so everyone’s path will look very different,” AZVA graduate Angela Sutton said. “My path is made from hybrid learning and a wide range of educators, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
AZVA’s career-focused and college-prep classes helped this student balance her passion for health care while earning recognition at the Arizona HOSA Regional and State Leadership Conferences. Angela was also named the Arizona State Board of Education Student of the Month during her junior year for these accomplishments as well as maintaining a 4.0 GPA, earning college credit through AZVA’s dual enrollment program and her community service efforts.
Accomplish Goals Early
In addition to working toward their high school diplomas, AZVA students can explore career and technical education pathways. The virtual academy offers two-year specialty exploration courses to introduce middle schoolers to more than 15 fields and industries. Courses in business management, information technology, marketing, health and human services, and more are available to all high school students.
Whether your child wants to explore a career path or needs a customizable learning environment, AZVA is committed to helping students achieve their goals.
